At the distance of 9 km from Rishikesh Railway Station and 5 km from Lakshman Jhula, Neer Gaddu or Neer Garh Waterfall is a natural waterfall situated on Rishikesh – Badrinath Highway in Uttarakhand. This is one of the famous adventurous places to visit in Rishikesh.
Neer waterfall is a famous waterfall for the small treks. The water flowing from natural rocky cliffs entice the holidaymakers to take a duck in the small stream. Trekking to the waterfall is a venturesome activity as it involves walking through the woods on narrow trails. This is a beautiful waterfall and is hugely refreshing to stand near the waterfall.
This is a two-tier waterfall with two bathing pools. There is a very small waterfall after a 200m trek from the road where explorers can take a bath in a small pool. A further 1.2 km trek will take you to the larger waterfall which has a large pool area.
There are two bridges at the waterfall and few resting spots. Butterflies of different species are seen fluttering around the wildflowers, adding beauty to this beautiful spot. Water, soft drinks, noodles, and tea are available here in small shops.
Entry Fee: Rs. 50 per person
A beautiful waterfall that takes 20-minute to hike. The good part of this waterfall is that you have to make an effort to reach it, as it is around 2 kilometers uphill from its Ticketing Spot. You have to Trek around 2 kilometers from the spot, and then, can reap your Effort.
The entrance fee to the waterfall is as follows:-
Below the Age of 12 – Rs. 20
Above the Age of 12 – Rs. 50.
The first Bathing Spot is around 1 kilometer from the ticketing spot and can be reached via foot or wheels.
The Second Bathing Spot, is around 2 kilometers from the ticketing spot, and is around 1 kilometer from the First Bathing Spot, but can only be reached via Foot.
Basic Necessities like Food, Water, etc. are available at both the Bathing Spots. Some eatables that are available at nearby stalls are Maggi Noodles, Tea, Biscuits, Mineral Water, Different types of Eggs (Omelettes, French Toasts, Sunny Side up, etc.), Chips and Cold drinks.
